ENERJOB 2010,FINDING WORK AT THE FAIR
Press release no. 84/10
(05/07/2010)
About 20 million employees by 2020. From energy managers to energy certifiers, from panel fitters to planners; these are the positions most requested by the world of green energy, which will be meeting at Enerjob 2010.
Work crisis? No thanks. Analysts and investors indicate the green economy as a way of fighting the economic crisis.
And if, on the one hand, "Italia Verde - Green Italy" is behind other countries, professional positions and offers of training for green work are growing at an incredible speed. It is therefore not by chance that, in the past ten years, ecomaster courses have increased five-fold and that, according to Unioncamere - the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Artisans and Agriculture, 40% of small- and medium-sized companies are aiming at the green economy.
The report entitled Green jobs: Towards Decent Work in a Sustainable, Low-Carbon World , by the Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro - International Labour Organization and the United Nations, shows that, already in 2009, there were 2.3 million workers in the renewable energies sector, which includes wind energy, photovoltaic and thermal solar power, and biofuels, to which we must add those of the sustainable construction and energy efficiency sectors. According to the report, the global outlook is for more than 20 million workers by 2020.
The most recent data from Isfol (Istituto per lo Sviluppo della Formazione Professionale dei Lavoratori - Institute for the Professional Training of Workers) confirm the trend outlined by Unep (United Nations Environment Programme): in Italy alone the workers of the green economy sector have increased, in the last 15 years, by 41%: from 264,000 in 1993 to the present 370,000.
But which are the most requested professional positions? Environmental consultants, energy managers, environmental engineers, energy certifiers, planners and technicians of renewable energy plants or for the use of water resources.
Those looking for work, therefore, especially with regards to young people, must bear in mind the positive trends of a manufacturing sector with double-digit growth, but which is also suffering from the lack of specialized and trained human resources.
And this is why, from 17 to 19 November at fieramilano Rho, Greenergy Expo and EnerSolar+ will also include Enerjob, the exhibition area dedicated to head hunters, universities, institutes that organize master and training courses in the renewable energy sector.
At EnerJob, those looking for work or wanting to attend a training course will be able to meet with executives of head hunter agencies, human resources and training companies who organize degrees and master courses for this sector.
EnerJob 2009 will be a crossroads of companies, people, services and ideas. A privileged meeting place between the demand and offer of work.
